Monday August 14: Pt Sur trip on Wednesday with a great weather forecast. We have room. Give us a call or book online. We had to stay local over the weekend with slow fishing on Saturday but much better fishing on Sunday with limits of rockfish and just over a fish a rod on the lingcod.
Friday August 11: It is with deep sorrow we have lost part of the Kahuna family. Harvey Bien whom you all know from the shop passed away last night. We will all remember him from his deep laugh and dry sense of humor and his attention to detail. Harvey has been a true friend to me and helped me whenever I needed without asking for anything in return. An honest and giving man. He definitely will be missed.
Friday August 4:16 anglers landed limits of rockfish including 5 cabazone to 10 Pounds and 20 lingcod.
Sunday July 30:We got down to Pt Sur today. The lingcod bite was good but not as good as it has been. A lot of shakers, big one went 18 1/2 pounds though. the rockfish bite was slower also with just over 1/2 limits. We did get an Ocean Whitefish going 7 pounds
Wednesday July 26: Beautiful day on Lake Pacific today. Perfect day for going long range rockfishing down to Lopez Pt. We landed 25 lingcod to 25 pounds with many going over 20. The size of the olives was impressive...up to 5 pounds. Some beautiful vermillion to 8 pounds and the coppers were quite large also. Limits of rockfish.
Friday July 21: We have been restricted to fishing in the bay recently with some good days and some slow days. Good news is the weather is finally coming down starting on Sunday. We have room on our Pt Sur trip for Monday with a beautiful weather forecast!

Monday July 17: On the days we can go the distance down towards Sur we do very well. The lingcod action is still wide open down there. The weather has been a major problem again this year with plenty of days we have to fish local. The local waters have produced some nice fish also including reds, canaries, coppers, jumbo yellowtail.
The weather forecast for the next week is WIND on the offshore waters. We are waiting for a window of opportunity to get out there for a chance at some albacore.
